After graduating from Oklahoma State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983, I practiced conventional veterinary medicine for ten years. Even while in school, I was interested in alternative medicine; during years of conventional practice, that interest became stronger as I became more and more disenchanted with the unsatisfactory results that pharmaceutical medicine yielded.
