Dr. Larry Winters opened the Hanover Green Veterinary Clinic in 1977. In February of 2014 Dr. Jesper Lorentzen (Dr. Jesper) purchased the practice with the intentions of caring out the same high standards of veterinary care as Dr. Winters had for 37 years. Dr. Jesper graduated from Virginia Tech in 200 and worked in Emergency Medicine for 10 years before starting a family and realizing that nights, weekends and holidays would not be suitable for his family.Dr.Jesper and staff strive to offer the best medicine and services to the residents and pets of Mechanicsville and the surrounding areas as well as offering house calls for more convenience. We treat dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, chickens, and ducks. With the help of wildlife and rehabilitation experts, we also treat a wide variety of wildlife from all parts of Richmond.
