Alpharetta Animal Hospital was began in 1965 as a huge animal facility, when most of North Fulton County was rural farmland. In 1973, Dr. J.C. Hines purchased the clinic and converted it into a tiny animal hospital, with a team of one veterinarian and one part-time employee. At that time, Alpharetta had a domestic population of 2,900 and one traffic light.
